Welcome to Green Jelly and to modern reusable nappies, cloth nappy accessories, baby slings and carriers, organic toiletries, gifts and complimentary eco friendly products.

Green Jelly is run by me, Sharon Heinrich wife to Andrew and mummy to two girls – Amélie born in Feb 2005 and Freya born in Oct 2006 – and one more expected in Dec 2010!  We live in a lovely village Great Chesterford in North Essex on the Cambridgeshire border.

I started using cloth nappies on Amélie in 2005 and loved them – I was hooked!  I somehow became involved with Essex County Council promoting reusable nappies at nappuccinos (coffee mornings with cloth nappies!) and other events in the Saffron Walden, Essex area. When it proved difficult to find local rep from nappy companies to demonstrate the various types of washable nappy, I had a eureka moment and decided to start an independent company doing just that. Green Jelly started to grow locally and in 2006 my first DIY Green Jelly webshop was launched.  The site was then updated in 2010 by local web design company H18 to give a new boutique feel.  Since I started I have added different products and now stock baby slings and baby carriers after many requests for alternatives to high street carriers.

I aim to supply top quality products researched and tested by myself, friends and family and provide great customer service at competitive prices. Green Jelly offers advice to help in choosing and using nappies, baby carriers and other products both via our advice pages on the website and a tailored personal washable nappy and baby carrier advice service.  Completing a reusable nappy questionnaire or baby carrier questionnaire helps us in assessing your needs and giving the best personalised advice appropriate for you and your circumstances. 

To help in your decisions with the wide choice of products on the market, I run free home cloth nappy consultations and sling demonstrations to local customers within a 20 mile radius of Saffron Walden, Essex for individuals and groups.  For consultations outside of this area a small fee may be charged to cover travel costs.  Please contact me to arrange an appointment.

As a small business we try hard to meet your needs, so if there is anything you would like us to sell (reusable nappies, baby carriers or other products) that we do not already – please contact us and we will look into stocking them in the future. If there is a particular product you need now – let us know and it is likely that we can source it as an individual item for you.

We try to be environmentally friendly where we can and use recycled paper, Eco Poly Jackets for shipping (biodegradable polythene film) and reuse packaging if possible.
